The American Sports Organization and the Caribbean (Odecabe) reported today withdrew the gold medal won the women's 4x100 relay boricua after the Erika Rivera athlete failed a doping test . The sample tested positive for drostanolone, which is a derivative of testosterone and ingested orally or by injection.

Rivera ran the third leg of the relay that finished in first place and establishing a new national record with 43.46 seconds. The other relay members were Beatriz Cruz, Carol Celyangelys Morales Rodríguez.

"The test showed positive for Erika Rivera said Hector Cardona, president of the Odecabe. "The entire team loses the medal."
Thus, gold is now up to Colombia, who had come back from Puerto Rico after a spectacular final leg of Rodriguez. Jamaica is silver and the bronze of St. Kitts and Nevis. OPINION

BAQUERO: is unfortunate that athletes continue to use drugs are not accepted by the entities in the knowledge that they will be disqualified. With advanced detection systems are drugs in sports I think it is silly to use these products. My friend (a) athlete if these contaminated with anabolic drugs or sporting event is a team, as the 4x100m relay, the better you take away not to affect others.

By Dr. David Bernier, let's look to the side and facing the drug problem among athletes of Puerto Rico, seeks to ensure all tests ... seems to be a more serious problem than it is spoken. In other sports managers do not make the evidence in the Superior Basketball League because many will give positive surprises for magical herbs like them.
